Thousands of artists trust LANDR Distribution to get their tracks on streaming platforms worldwide. But did you know we listen to every single submission? Here’s a taste of some of the incredible talent that comes through our distribution community.
Summer is here. Do you feel the heat?
We do—and that makes us excited to check out all the new releases that come our way!
With summer’s bright optimism comes a number of releases in our distribution catalog that screams “patio season.”
From beachside Japanese indie, angst-filled Iowan emo and heartfelt songwriting by our latest LANDR Rising Artist, here are some artists we’ve been watching in June.
A heartfelt ballad dedicated to lost love, Danny Starr’s 2020 single “Our Design” blends the soul-spinning influence of Amy Winehouse with the narrative lyricism of the Arctic Monkeys.
Pop-infused indie-rock paired with raw soulful lyrics makes this a strong contender for being the sound—if not the heartbreak anthem—of your summer.
With Danny Starr being our latest Rising Artist, we’re excited for more from the London-based singer-songwriter.

Pop punk’s been a-la-mode lately. But outside of the mainstream, the genre’s been standing strong for years—with many indie artists doing their part in establishing their local music scenes.
In Des Moines, local trio Face It Tiger deliver some angst-filled pop punk with “Sad Tobey Maguire”.
Incorporating elements of post-hardcore with Modest Mouse-like vocals, their 2021 single is a great look into what these Iowans sad boys can dish out next.
Ditching summertime sadness for beachy, bubblegum indie-rock, these Grimsby up-and-comers will make you coast with their single “Easy”.
Almost even a companion piece to the two preceding tracks on our Staff Picks, “Easy” is a track that uses its endearing optimism to address some real issues regarding mental health.
A project co-owned by fellow LANDR Distribution artist Callum Minks, we’re more than excited to include Indigo Bay’s latest into our fold of monthly favorites.

In case you didn’t know, we find a lot of super cool Japanese releases in our distribution catalog.
From shoegaze to ambient, we’re always excited to see what comes in each month from our Japanese friends! This time, it’s smooth, oceanside indie-rock by oremuto~! with his latest release: “City Lights”.
oremuto~!’s latest single is a great piece of levity for the good days of summer, with its bright reverb-rich lead lines paired with the pulse of the acoustic guitar.
It almost makes you want to leave all your hang-ups behind!

Back home in the west, Detroit-based Tia Tucker brings a fusion of pop and post-punk with her 2021 single “Back Home”.
Crunchy, distortion-laden goodness makes Tia Tucker a new addition to the lexicon of female-led indie artists taking hold of the scene.
Fitting right in with the likes of Snail Mail, Soccer Mommy and It Looks Sad., we’d love to see her get featured on a live Audiotree performance!
Multi-faceted Alistair Blu—who you might recognize as the co-lead vocalist of Montreal’s Busty and the Bass—fuses hip-hop with synth-laden g-funk, making his 2018 release an instant bop.
Pairing up with rapper Nate Husser, Alistair goes all-in with the track “Insane”.
Even from an initial listen, the track is reminiscent of contemporaries like EARTHGANG—with both acts drawing influences from OutKast in particular.
Frenetic, wild, and worthy of its song title, “Insane” might be that summer banger for those looking for a nice pick-me-up.
